Can you tell the difference?
I prefer a 1-piece rod. I believe the sensitivity and quality of components are far superior in a 1-piece set up. Plus, I feel 1-piece setups are lighter.
God bless the “ignore” function.
I would definitely say a 1 piece imho. I personally do not like 2 piece rods plus the vast majority of rods are 1 piece.

Huge difference. 1 piece is the only way to go.
How many times have you heaved a 2 piece rod only to have the front section go flying off? I have done it more than once. OK for light fresh water, not much else.

Prefer 1 piece, better sensitivity
Ya know, it must be nice living in Neverneverland. Remind me to come visit you, when I need a break from reality.
1 piece just feels nicer imo but it’s probably just in my head. Also, a 2 piece rod doesn’t look as good to me.

Broke a lot of rod tips putting one piece rods in tight spaces. 2 piece breaks down for storage, and they fit in small cars without having to hang them over the rear view mirror.
I never has any better success with a 1 piece vs. a 2 piece rod. I own about 50/50 1 piece to 2 piece, but that is based on availability, purchase price, and quality of the components.
The only reason to have a multi piece rods is for ease of transporting. Go one piece unless there is a need for the rod to breakdown. With that said, a well made (upper tier) multipiece rod in the hands of most anglers feels no different that an one piece.
