Got on the water about 7:15. Water was 57 back by the dam launch. Noticed some small schools of bait on top back in the cove. Marked a lot of bait around the launch too. Dropped lines in that area. Set 2 planers out and both took off while getting the third bait on. Landed one 22" and lost the other. Pulled bait along the dam, out around the towers and across to yacht cove. got 6 with 3 keepers. All keepers were 22" and fat. Water was 52-54 outside of the launch area. Not much wind at all.
nice job goober. you could not go crappie fishing with me yet you head out saturday night. thanks for the phone call. oh; my line must have been out of order. ha ha. i started to call you and see if you could go sat. afternoon after you got back from St. Patties day festivities. probably should have.
I had not planned on going, but my wife asked if I had plans to fish. I said yes and took off for the lake. Never got on the water until after 7.
