The wind was howling both days making the fishing difficult. Still managed a few fish and had fun on the water.
Saturday started out slow with nothing going on at the first five trout hot spots around Sullivans/IOP. Finally found some fish before we had to leave for St. Patty’s day stuff and caught 7. Most 14" - 16" on DOA shrimp and trout tricks. The wind was blowing a legit 25 mph on the way back in…
Sunday we fished north of Charleston. Got on the water about noon and caught a couple trout and I made a comment about how much nicer it was…right after, the wind started blowing again. Had to be 20mph sustained. We tucked back in a creek and switched to red fish. Caught some on paddle tail grubs, nice aggressive bite. Ended with 2 trout and 4 reds.
