Heading out in the morning as soon as I can get the gf up.
Here’s the question. I normally fish in and around the Cooper, however, I have a good spot in mind on the Wando. I know the moon isn’t exactly cooperating tomorrow, but, the gf has never put a fish in the boat. I’m worried she is going to get tired of going out (on the boat) with me while she watches me do all the catching.
Stay in the same spots and keep coaching or blindly try something new?
I know… Very weird post.

Drive up to tailrace and catch some shad if you just want to catch something and have an exciting day. I don’t think they’ll be there too much longer. I took my parents this past weekend and my mom was having a tough time casting to start. I hooked the first one but I didn’t let them know and I passed the rod to my mom so I could “throw hers out”. It was like I had two kids in the boat after that!
I don’t even like being out there watching someone else do all the catching… shake them off! haha This time of year has been slow for me, but if you know where some fish are then I’d try it and be there to help her catch fish moreso than for you to catch fish. You can catch them later, but the idea is to get her hooked now. Know when to call it quits and head home if needed!
Try the old “Oops, looks like we ran out of gas” line.
