3/27 and 3/28: No Dice

Haven’t been out consistently since January, when I was seeing good results. Went out the past two days and wasn’t able to spot many fish or hook up. I fished the midday incoming tide out of Folly and covered a lot of water, fishing everything from oyster flats at the low tide to docks on the rising. Used mainly paddle tails with intermittent mullet and mud minnows. First time fishing without the trolling motor in awhile (dead battery), so I attribute some of the slow day to having to anchor up when I’d normally do more searching.

Only success of the day was finding three reds pushing bait in a small creek at low tide, but only got a few casts in before they made their way out. Saw some awesome wildlife and a great day in the water, so overall a success. I know march can sometimes be difficult as patterns change with the warming water and reduced clarity, but has anyone noticed any spring patterns emerging?
