This was a unique experience for me. I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Jim Booth and family on his boat yesterday. I certainly learned alot and heard a couple of stories that had some miles on them I’m sure. Mr. Booth is certainly a very interesting man and quite the gentlemen. I can’t wait to go fish with them again soon. We had a very relaxed atmosphere and certainly enjoyed the telling of fish tales to one another from years ago and last week. Good times that I won’t soon forget.
Now, on to the fishing…it was kinda slow for us. We got a little bit of a late start and had a long run to the ledge. Water was nice though, very calm until we got out to the ledge when the wind picked up slightly and had the water a little choppy for our 23’er. We never really got on the fish well and the current and wind were a little more than we anticipated. When we did happen to find the fish, it was good and they were hungry. We did manage to get a couple of scamp and one nice trigger. I missed a serious bite on the bottom on a live bait. Rookie mistake. Caught a limit of those elusive endangered red porgies along with the other usual bottom dwellers, a shark, some AJs.
Water was really decent all day. Ride in and out was great. I even caught about a hour’s nap on the beanbag on the journey home.
Thanks again guys; I had a blast.

We didn’t start catching fish until the fishing hat came out…
