3/31 Report

I took off to the lake this morning solo with my 17 year old deciding to sleep in. Since I didn’t really NEED to catch em, I decided to not return to the midlake creek Jennifer and I fished Monday and ventured to a different area. There, the bite was even better. Fish averaged around 7 pounds with the biggest being 11-12 and 20+ keepers. Again, points and humps in 10-30 proved best with the majority of the bites coming on the shallow end. Several times, I had double and triple hookups. However, at the end of the day, I had all 6 of my rods go off simultaneously. I boated all but one that got cut off on the crossed line of the largest of the day. After the melee and retrieving a planer and retieing, I put out the last 5 bait and caught 1 more 7 pounder.

All fish are still swimming. We just finished eating Monday’s catch an hour ago. Good times!

Can’t beat solo fishing till you get multipole hook ups! Sounds as if you had a great day!

I do enjoy the fun and fellowship of fishing with others, but most of my learning happens when I’m out there solo. Alone, I’m more likely to try different areas and tweeks to the normal methods. Multiple hookups are always welcome. I just try to keep my cool and work on the harder pulling fish first. It’s a good problem to have.:sunglasses:
