3-Bank Battery Charger Minnkota vs Guest??

Just upgraded from a 12 to 24v trolling motor. Currently have a (2) bank charger but looking to go a (3) bank to maintain starting battery plus the two deep cycle trolling motor batteries. The onboard (2) bank guest charger has served me well. When I priced their (3) bank its significantly more than the Minn Kota for same amperage output. I’ve had multiple Minnkota trolling motors that have been great but I know very little about their battery chargers. Anyone with any experience?

I have two of the Minn Kota MK210 chargers on my boat and they have been great. One on my two trolling motor batteries and one on my starting and house batteries.

As another option, I’ve been using a 2 bank NOCO and just bought another 4 bank NOCO. They have been great

I had a minnkota 2 bank on my last boat. It quickly corroded and the finish peeled off. Kept working but looked like crap. It was mounted on an elevated plate inside the console. There was a small leak around the console seal that let saltwater creep up the interior carpet and get on the mount.

Not as corrosion resistant as I would expect.

Currently running a 4 bank Dual Pro. It’s 12 years old. Sits in the bilge area. No corrosion issues and is more exposed to water/salt/salty air than the minnkota.

I have a 2-year old Minnkota charging system and it has performed well.

even though we are the Minn Kota Service center, I am not a big fan of the Minn Kota chargers.
They are large and heavy compared to alot of the newer chargers.
we mainly install the powermania chargers.
they are much smaller than the Minn Kota chargers, plus they are waterproof.
We have been installing them for about 4 years now, and haven’t had any failures.

Also, think about upgrading your plug to a Battery Tender plug.
