After a stellar day Thur with a fun crew we decided to dive Fri for a little rest, weather was awesome and the viz was 80/100 ft temp was 67 top to bottom with no thermocline, nice. Eric and John killed some nice scamps and gags around 20lbs.Ended up with 6 nice groupers and some other bottom dwellers. Dove some new spots and chased a school of 6/7 nice gags, first time I’ve seen them school like that.
Dashed home, loaded the truck and headed to Jax to fish with my son. Another early day and a long ride south to a good break, never found it but ended the day with 15 dolphin biggest 30lbs. Ocean was prefect which was good as we traveled 190 miles in the boat.
Think I will take tomorrow off after cleaning fish, the boat and driving back from Fla today! Wore out but a fun three days and plenty of Yellowfish fillets, ready to do some serious diving.
Easy, had to wait till I got home to post the pic, lap top wouldn’t let me post driving back from Jax. Dolphin pics are a dime a dozen this week but the grouper are worth looking at. Not going to post as much any more, get tired of listening to the crap when you have a great day!
Glad you made it safely to Jax. I’m not sure I could make that dive at night after being on a boat all day since it’s normally all I can do to make it to the couch after a day on the water. Keep the fish busy while I’m stuck here on Coronado until next week…
Please put me back on your list Ed. I guess my phone call to you fell on deaf ears!! Great job on the meat fish. Can’t wait to get back down there after 7 mo. in the sandbox.
Got good ears Zack, got to slip u in on a very dependable crew who are always ready to go, don’t forget how many times we invited you before you left for the sand box! We realize your work requirements, we all have them and respect your commitments, but the boat is still leaving the dock weather you or I can go or not. Will call as soon as I can.
