Left Shem Creek at 4am and went straight out to the ledge - fished from 160 to 300 feet and caught 6 dolphin before lunch - then bottom fished until 3pm and caught a 15 lb hog-nosed snapper, 1 nice grouper, 1 big queen trigger fish, and our limit on snapper. We were back trolling at 4 pm and by 4:30, had caught 3 wahoo and later on, 4 more dolphin.
Next time we will try trolling in the evening - the fish seemed to be biting much better at that time.
I have never caught one on the RR.
