300 HPDI foot

Looking for a lower unit that is in good shape for a 2004 300 hpdi CR, surely with all the blown 300’s out there someone wants to get rid of a foot…

Thanks.

I believe we can get an SEI brand new 3 year warranty for about $950

Chris, how do those SEI parts hold up? I was weary of a reman, I’ve heard they don’t last long… I understand the warranty would cover it, but it sure is a pain to have to replace in the middle of fishing season

I just had to replace an SEI lower on my F250 yamaha, when I called SEI and gave them the serial number it was 5yrs old, so I think it held up pretty well with 1100 hrs on the motor, I went ahead and orded another one $890 shipped to my door

SEMPER FI
30 gw marlin
35 donzi sfc (sold)
25 pursuit cc(sold)
45 egg harbor sportfish (sank hurricane)

Just checked with SEI, they don’t carry one for a 300 hpdi

I am pretty sure the 250 OX66 gear case is a direct fit

Chris, can you verify that? Yamaha says they are different parts, but I would like to know if they are compatible, and if there are any issues with using them…

they are different parts, but they will interchange
we ran a 300 HPDI lower unit on a F250 3.3 for several hundred hours
we also ran a 250 ox66 lower unit on a f250 3.3
all 3 lower units will interchange
there are some differences, but they will fit and function properly

Chris, what about the fact that the gear ratio for the 300 is 1.75 and the others 1.81? The foot I lost is a counter rotating port engine, I can’t imagine having two engines with different ratios wouldn’t affect performance?

And i guess its 2.0 on the 4strokes?

gear ratio would mean changing prop to accommodate rpms
we have always done those swaps on single set ups
