Any input on the range of a 300 hpdi with 150 gallon tank on a 23 seacraft by chance guys?? Still looking at this boat! Anyone have any good surveyors or mechanics by chance? Thanks again!!

Tom -you should be at or just over 2miles per gallon for a range ,close to 300 miles.The YAHAMA PERFORMANCE SPECS was done on 23 contender–3000rpm–21 mph using10.2 gallons 2mph–3500rpm-30mph 12.1 gal–2.5mpg—4000rpm–38mph–16gal-2.3mpg and 4500rpm-44mph–21gal-2.12 mpg.My 32 Reg. with twin 300HPDI gets 1 mpg ,but the REG.with engines is over 10,000lbs—they do like OIL!!

Thanks Don that sounds pretty good to me!! But I have just heard so many mixed reviews on the 300 hpdi!! I Want the boat really bad but the motor is the issue he said he would stick a F250 four stroke on it for 4000.00 more but it has 3000 hours on it!!! Any input??? Thanks again!!

250-300 hpdi, was the worst motor yamaha ever made
everybody i know that has had one has replaced at least 1 powerhead
3000 hours on an f250 is worn out that motor is worth about 3000.00 dollars total, not $4k more than the hpdi
