Looking at a 2006 3070 with twin 250 Yamahas (840 hrs) Boat is Clean well kept Any comments on theses boats
Yep buddy has same exact boat. Good fishing platform. He fishes a lot. Fishes many days others stay home. Good motors also. He has double that on his.
My number 1 fishing buddy has a 27 Pursuit and I’ve fished on it a lot, as far as 100 miles out in the GOM. Made several overnight trips on it. It is built like a tank and we’ve had it in some terrible weather. Kind of days where you have Sargasso weed hanging off the antennas and outriggers. Dang good solid boat. His has twin 200 Yamahas and will run about 50 mph.

Thanks Fox and Larry boat has no trailer so looking for best deal to dry store around Hilton Head. I going to get the motors checked out and haul inspected. The gentleman who owns the boat has taken excellent care of it. I have always wanted a boat this size and the wife is very supportive. She loves to fish.
Buy a trailer if your close to coast. Would be cheaper in long run. They are great boats. You will like it.
Hook1 I own one. A lot to consider. I bought mine new and I will never make that mistake again, such depreciation quickly. I have 2001 model and other than general maintainance she has been a goody. She measures out about 31ft from back of engines to the anchor winch on bow. Many for sale on boa trader. Mine is a express cruiser but the lines when she sets in the water looks like a key west? Go figure, so as an owner of one for 15 years, I give thumbs up. I did upgrade power in 2013 to twin 250 Yamaha, not because I had to but because I wanted to. I sold old power plants on eBay and helped recover some money. So, now I feel like she is new again. Take your time, there are many out there for sale and you are in charge.
If you don’t like it, oh well.
Thanks Mark6471 I am not jumping into this I have a 20’Mako/T-top and fully rigged out which I keep in great condition would need to sell it first but I really would like to get a blue water boat and the wife wants to cruise up and down the ICW.
I had one and liked it. Well built boat for it’s size with lots of nice features. Mine was a 2000 with 2 stroke 250 yamahas. Burn rate was high by today’s standards- 170-190 gallons each trip offshore out of Charleston. Boat rode great for one that size but there were many days I couldn’t go. Know your limits and respect the ocean- its a 31’, not 61’!
