Giving away lots of prizes this year as well as hosting several fishing seminars, offshore and inshore. One of our own members here, “Knot at Work,” will be giving a light tackle inshore fishing seminar on Sunday.

A bunch of us are planning on going Saturday early. Who all is planning on attending this shindig this year?

I should arrive around 1 o’clock. I will be taking up donations so I can pull a new contender home with me so please give freely!

Tony has been around for a while…he was service mgr. at the Outboard Shop for many, many years.I last saw him at Hanckels just before they moved from Sportsman Island.

I don’t know. Seeing all those shiny new boats might be too depressing, especially considering how long as its been since I’ve actually been fishing.

Can’t make it until Sunday, don’t take all the good stuff.

Tony was laid off from Hanckel so I wouldn’t be looking for him at the boat show.

Think the wife and I will be there tomorrow morning…

Bonzo got sidetracked by buckets of beer and chicken wings…will wait til Sunday to visit Capt Steve…

If you missed the Scout at the show, here it is…

That Scout was nice, but the time we were leaving, there was a line to get on it. I personally think people are crazy to spend that kind of money on a boat of that caliber. But, to each his own. They are beautiful boats. I just know that I’d end up destroying it with fish guts and whatnot.

The Edgewater 33 was a ■■■■ nice boat also, but too fancy for me to take fishing, I can promise you that. And with a pricetag of $380K, I’d much rather keep $100K in my pocket and go buy me that 37’ Contender with 1000hp behind it, but that’s just me. You could honestly fit about three grown men in that fishbox. Not a lot of extras on the contender, but you could probably bottomfish 20 people on that boat. Not joking.

The boat I was least impressed with was the 33WorldCat out front. It had a huge console and top on it…really made for not much fishing room in the rear of the boat. I’m sure it rides like a dream, but for a 33, I was dissapointed with how much fishing room you would have. I’m all for oversized consoles, but this was a little overkill. Swim platform out of the back was very nice though.

I also saw Adam Paul there…the guy that does the GillsNFinz show.

Saw a few celebrites there…

Jerms getting used to the edgewater 335’s accomodations…

CaptTang and Jerms awwwwing over the Blackwood…

Any pics of the Contender 37T??

No, looks exactly like the 33, only longer…and with a heavy duty trailer underneath it. Seriously heavy duty.
