If your going to carry I don’t know why on earth you would carry a freaking LCP. Its 2016, plenty of compact single stack hand guns in 9mm and 45 that are easily concealed and have enough power to eliminate a threat quickly. If im limiting myself to a weapon that only holds 7 rds it going to have plenty of ass behind it. A .45 in hand is worth 2 Ar-15’s in the truck.
I’m not a pocket pistol guy but round count is not as important as some think. Typically speaking, in personal defense situations, by the time you fire your third round, whatever is going to happen has happened, good, bad or indifferent. Granted you squeeze the trigger until the threat is gone but you don’t need a high capacity magazine in a carry gun. People rarely square off and have a gun fight OK Corrale-style in personal defense situations. Three or four well-placed shots from a .380 (again, I’m not a fan of small pocket pistols) are more effective than 10+ spray and pray rounds from a 45ACP. Just like with deer hunting, caliber doesn’t kill, shot placement does.
No matter how much it hurts, how dark it gets, or how far you fall…you are never out of the fight.
I have the LCP with Desantis sheath and lasermax trigger guard laser. Love it. With the laser and a steady hand shot grouping at 10-15 yds is tight. That’s all you need in a defense situation. The mountain khaki pants also have a dual pocket right side which allows the gun to be segregated from keys and anything else. The khakis are perfect for business casual work, throw a jacket on and you’re ready for dinner. It’s nice knowing I can carry at all times and not worry about printing for whatever reason at work, home, or any other public environment
This is the LCP to have.
