I’m must be getting better with my design work this is only the 2nd iteration of the design and it’s near perfect. But luck is in there somewhere too! The design is based off some of the current products for LiveScope plus my thoughts on how to integrate the pole with a Terrova so that both are deployed at the same time. I found that, for me, it took time to get setup to scope a spot. So combining the deployment helped. The black parts are 3D printed. The extension is extruded 20x40 aluminum. If anyone is interested I’ll post a video of the deployment and operation of LiveScope
I hope you rememer us little people when you make it big…
Very clever, I like it.
I would like to see the video
Anyway you would upload these to thingiverse or email the files? I’m in a dilemma of mounting solutions for my LVS32 system at the moment. I have a minnkota powerdrive with ipilot so it should work. If not I may be able to alter in fusion. My skills are severely lacking on design
welcome to CF @Blgregg. It would appear you too are well ahead of the 3d printing curve. Be sure and show us some pics of your setup when you get it dialed in.

Thanks! Yea I print a lot of stuff, mostly guns. I have a 16DLX Carolina skiff CC. I just got the Garmin 93SV with LVS32 and have the minnkota powerdrive v2 with spotlock on order. As soon as I get this thing finished I will post pictures for you guys.
Still trying to figure this livescope mount/pole setup/etc etc out.
check out the pole mounts at sniper marine.
Im not too sure I want my transducer on the trolling motor, for obvious reasons.
The biggest issue I am having is cable management. It might be just my setup but I have to fight the cables deploying and stowing to keep them from getting pinched…love to hear from others with commercial products on the market.
Did You every make 3D files available
For the very nice adaption?
Very interested in making
One of these
No but I can upload the STL files to thingiverse if you are interested in giving it a try. So far the only piece that doesnt hold up is the collar to lock the pole in place at the desired height…but honestly the tension screw is enough to hold the pole securely in place…let me know if you are still interested
…And welcome to CF!!! There is tons of info in our chats!
I actually had uploaded the files and instructions many months ago…here is the link.
Got it!!!
Thanks! My buddy is the printer expert and hopefully he understands all the tech talk. He is a CAD wizard.
Hey Jump!![]()
The project is a go! A few questions:
What are the 2 small holes in the depth collar?
You called out that you made an installation/operation video on YouTube.
Is that still available, link?
I didn’t see it called out that you need both pieces of the shower rod but it makes sense that you use both. Inner section is provide the rotation, the outer is the hub that inner rotates inside of? The outer is trimmed to give max support from the motor head and is cut off some distance above the pole attachment. The collar is used to set the depth of the inner shower rod?

Hi @Carpfisher ! Good to hear you are interested…you know…a video would probably take this project a long way and help you more than anything! Ill put something together later tonight. I dont have any editing software so you guys will need to roll with me on this.
The two small holes on the depth collar are for another version that uses an accelerometer/magnometer to keep the transducer pointed at a set heading. It worked but I lost interest in the project when I priced the parts and components to build something that would last.

Let me Know if you want to take the discussion off line. I don’t see a message system on the forum, have just missed it?
The video will be great I’m sure!
Here is fine…others may have similar questions so posting here makes the info available for everyone.
If you click on the name and/or icon beside the persons name a pop up menu comes up, there you can send a message.
I’m enjoying this, I hope you guys keep it in the open.
Should have done this video sooner! There is alot going on with this setup and definitely needs a video for explanation. Let me know whats missing or doesnt make sense.
