Ride out 4:30 Sat aboard the Seadog was about as nice as you can get and we were met with this!
Trolled for the elusive Hoo for a few hrs but the ocean was dead were we were at, Did catch a small one and a stud hit a hard plug under the prop wash and smoked the 50 wide until a solid ring on the sampo swivel parted and he won that round! No other knock downs, but huge clouds of fish on the finder peaked our interest in 160’ which turned out to be Triggers! Loaded the boat with them and a few Bee liners and pinks to boot. Great ride in with Looseshoe and Augidog.
4:30 again Sun with Capt Brandon aboard the Knockdown. Ran out to 1500’ looking for the break. Temp was 74 and the ocean was alive with flyers everywhere all day. Very slow until we found a weed line just east of the Royal Terrace in 350’with 70’ on one side and 74’ on the other.Managed 4 good gaffers but it was already 3:40 and on Sun we needed to wrap it up. Another great day on the water but we got all the bugs out with two crews and are ready when the yellow fish show up in force. Looseshoe and Zack made for a great crew and thanks to Brandon for the invite!
If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
