4.15.06 spottails

Spent most of the day Saturday in the kayak. A few rat reds and 2 25 inch fish. Mudminnows under a popping cork on the falling tide. Wind had water pushed around and fish were not where I expected. I explored a little and ended up spooking an unknown number that were in a small hole in a shallow creek. I was paddling up the creek and all of a sudden fish went everywhere.

On another note, noticed some water building up in the boat throughout the day. Upon return to the hill, I found some small pin sized holes right under the seat (sit-in). Any ideas on the best way to repair/plug the holes? It is a wilderness systems pungo.

an easy fix is jb weld

Hey Fish, I believe Kayakfishingstuff.com sells a repair kit?
In the past I’ve used cutouts of plastic from my tarpon, put a torch to it(not the boat, but to the cutoff) and let it drip on the hole. At first I thought it was going to be a temp fix, but seems to be working well. You might want to rough up around the hole first and maybe do it to both sides? Good luck,

Hey Kloudking, how pliable is it in relationship to how much a boat contracts and expands?
