4/2 Outcrop

Went yesterday first trip of the year, drop lines in about 150’ found stacked 3x3s at the ledge. The water was cold and there wasn’t any life to be found on the surface. Warmest water we found was 70.8 in about 300’ of water. Never found good color. Worked back to the ledge… one knockdown and that’s it. Pulled lines early and hit some bottom on the way in for some bottom fish. Bottom bite was strong as usual.

20 beeliners
15 pinkies
1 bsb
2 triggers
1 scamp about 10 to 12# safely released
1 red snapper also released
1 amberjack

At least you didn’t come back empty! How were the seas. Buoy was reading 3’s most of the day

bouy said 2.6 at ten when we left out but when we got out there the wind was strong SE15kt plus and the seas were stacked 3s with some 5 and six footers mixed in.

Roger on LOTS of 5s mixed in until after lunch.
