Fished down south between the 226 and Edisto Banks, starting out in about 700 feet. Had a great crew with Don Crocker, Will Zirkle and Ryan Bowles and a great ocean. First fish of the day was a nice blue. Don fought the fish or the fish fought him and after an hour and 15 minutes or so, finally had a good release at the boat. The blue looked to be in the 450 lb range. Great way to start the day. Pushed on out to 1800 feet and picked at the dolphin, ending up with 8. Lost many more, just couldn’t keep a hook in them.
Will was able to get a decent pic of the blue jumping and should post it soon.
Sea J’s still has many open days in May. $1100/day. Call Captain Jeff or go to www.seajssportfishing.com for more information.

Jeff thanks for the invite and another lifetime memory and story for the years. Hope to venture out some more with you this year. I will see you out there Saturday at the SCSSA tourney. Pics below.
Forgot to mention that the hot baits were Chuck’s Lehi baits squitches. The marlin was caught on a black and purple squitch. The lehi baits are great and reasonably priced.
