4-25-09 Chs 60

We headed out around 7 am with plans to go to Y73 and Comanche, but the periods on the waves were at exactly the right distance to make for a very uncomfortable ride, so we changed our direction and headed to the 60 for the day. We caught 3 nice snappers, a bunch of nice sized pinfish, 5 small BSB’s, and almost landed a good sized trigger fish.
Nothing real special about the day, but it was nice to be out on the water. Hopefully next time the water will be a little better for us. Water temp was 70-72 in most areas.

Happy boatin’ y’all!!

You made the right decision, y73 and commanche were 65%, no bait, no fish, except a million blues, some tunny, large sharks, and yes, a rough ride, even though the seas were 2-3; the period is more important sometimes. Also the direction of the sea put everything right in your face, but still not too bad ride in a 21’ CC. I just can’t believe snapper at the 60, and 70-72%, the bait and kings should be there, but the cool nights are still playing havic.
