Finally get to report after my second trip fishing this year. Took the day off and called my cousin who does nothing but striper fish for 9 months out of the year. We heading over to Clarks Hill on the upper end and the Blue backs and spawning and we were pulling boards and freelines up next to the bank. As soon as the first line hit the water it was fish on. Had a nice one break off in the trees. In 2 1/2 hours we managed to pull in 20 or so and had 6 or so break off. Couldn’t keep the gar off our bait so we ended up running out of bait and called it a day. Biggest fish was about an 8 or 9 pound hybrid and he was pulling like he was 40 pounds! Great day on the water and I learned a lot about pulling boards and freelines!
