April 30, 2019 - Headed out on the Wando to do a little sight fishing for redfish. It was low tide and there was fish everywhere. Most were reluctant to bite but I had a 24 inch fish to bite a Zman 4" jerk shad https://amzn.to/2XPb8lJ. I used a Yakattack stake out stick https://amzn.to/2GZt2MZ to anchor quickly on the flats without spooking any fish.

Between you and my BIL fishing the upper Wando this week gave away the hint on what I needed to do in order to “Catch” fish rather than do a sight seeing excursion. Downsized my bait choice and it was the ticket. What I was throwing today was just about identical in size as far as the food in the fish’s stomachs that I brought home to the table. Keep in mind the more beans you spill to the public the more pressure these fish will endure. I have learned a secret and I am sure a few more will too.
