4*8 trailer

I just got a 4*8 trailer frame to haul my kayaks(3) but I don’t know where to start. It has to stay low so I don’t have any wind drag. I drive a small car so all my fishing stuff must go on the trailer.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS

Mornin’;
…my kayak buddy just did this about a year ago. Here you go, …Thank Bnz.:wink: http://kfs.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/220603834/m/1331045514?r=6131094024#6131094024
…but “artofficials” trailer might be closer to your needs
a.k.a. "X-Fishin’ "

thanks, but thats a little to much wood for my small car to pull

use a set of foam blocks on one side for your yack, put a used truck tool box or a dock box for your gear. If you don’t want to use foam, look at a boat trailer for a catamaran sailboat, they use half round saddles for teh hull to sit on

Build a T top out of 2x4’s
If the trailer frame is set up for stake sides, just drop 2 foot long 2x4’s in the pockets. attach cross spars front and rear with 3 inch decking screws. You now have room for 4 yaks… 2 on top and 2 on bottom of the cross spars. There is still room to stuff your gear in the trailer.
I sold my trailer a few months ago and don’t have pics, but I pulled it with my Miata:smiley:

So much water, So little time
