4 week old gas

I have 3/4 a tank of fuel (ethanol included) in my boat right now. When I filled the tank i added the correct amount of Startron. This was 4 weeks ago. I’m looking at going out in the morning, anybody think 4 weeks is too long to let the fuel sit?

How long can fuel sit in a tank with StarTron added?

Am I worried over nothing

I would say run it. I have gas in my one tank that is about that old and I am going to run it in the morning myself.

Should be fine as long as it has had the additive added to it originally.

Good question on just how long will gas last with star tron. 6 months, a year??

I parked my boat last fall with about 40 gal of E-10 treated with Startron and Ring-Free. This spring I dunked it in and she started up in 2 seconds. I ran the boat as low as I could before I re-filled it this spring. I plan on treating every tank.

But remember, that was $4.50 gas. Must have been special to cost that much!

I hear ya Tripp, $4.50 gas sucked!

I ran the old fuel out of the tank today! I didn’t notice anything unusual. Thanks for the input guys!

Filled my boat last fall before I started reading all the post about E-10 fuel problems. I did use Stay-Bil and was worried a little bit when I went on the lake for the first time in Feb. I did run the engine about 10 min. the day before I went fishing. I’ve ran out about half of the tank since then with no noticeable problems…

I Ran the boat all day today on fresh fuel (treated with StarTron) not a single issue! I must say for a 21 year old motor it runs like new! I know Charleston is Yamaha country but I’m content and enjoying my Johnson!
