Debated whether or not to go on charter, but after hearing the bite wasnt that good decided to spend the day snorkeling and soaking up the sun with the family.
After coming out of the water heard a group of people yelling shark, dolphin. Turned around and saw a big blue swirling on bait in about 5 feet of water. Fish pushed the bait up into the rocks and continued after them. She was pinned between the rock and had sadly watch her beat herself to death. When the fished calmed down I was able to pull her from the rocks. I tried to swim her back to life for the next ten minutes. Everytime I pushed her out she went belly up. By this time there quite a crowd and a few locals swam out and brought her back to shore. Within twenty minutes they had the fish loaded in a pick up truck. I still cant believe I witnessed this. Sad ending for a beautiful fish.
That is an amazing story. So cool how little we truly know about marlin. Seeing a deepwater fish up in the shallows is a once in a lifetime deal. Sad for the fish but nothing out of the ordinary as far as Mother Nature is concerned. Thanks for sharing.
I would just put the video on Youtube and then add the youtube link in here. You can do that by going back and editing your original post and copying the link from youtube and pasting in your post.
Crazy! All that jet setting and mommas cooking got up looking kinda plump… Time to get your summer figure on, sandbar sundays are just around the corner…
