41 Bridge

I was driving over the 41 bridge yesterday around 3pm and saw five boats lined up on the south side of the ridge, about 30 feet away, all facing the bridge. They were all fishing toward the bridge. Any idea what everyone was fishing for? I’ve never seen anything like it and was just wondering.

I saw them also…was thinking maybe drum? too far away for sheeps

Agreed. Much too far away for she eps. Just thought it was strange. It was the only time I’ve ever seen it.

Probably redfish or/and black drum. That spot has been crazy busy the past month or so.

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

Bet “Patient Maker” was one of them.

I keep my boat at Carolina Boatyard, right there at the bridge. I frequently see folks fishing the grass line on the opposite bank but don’t recall seeing anyone actually fishing the bridge. Man, I wish CB had a ramp right there, how convenient would that be?

Big redfish mainly, but there are also good size black drum there

Been 25 years, but yes, large black drum.

Nothing at all at that spot except bull Toadfish and rays.

Ive pulled out some monster puffers there also

I fish there a lot because I can get there by land. Ive never caught a thing by that bridge. I guess I can’t cast that far?
