47 Trout/ 6 Blue

Top water action in the AM started off great! First 4 cast produced nice Trout. Switched over to casting/trolling and caught and released 47 Trout and 6 Bluefish. Left the Trout chewing:smiley:

Ledge, probably a dumb question, but when you say 12-24’ water, do you mean suspended at that depth. Also, if you will, do you find them with your sounder or just mad skills!

Good on you!

I use the sounder to mark bait that is suspended. 12-24 is water depth!

I shot for high tide and some shell banks. I wasted a bag of ice and got windburn. Spent most of the 3 hrs looking for clean water out of the wind… and apparently searching WAY too shallow.

may I ask which river?

The wind picked up and the Trout started feeding! Wind=Bad for fisherman=Good for the fish!!!

Very nice work.

That is fantastic news! Gotta get out and get some. Never fished that depth. We usually fish in 6 or 7 feet of water this time of year and do good with paddle tail grubs (10-20 fish). We will have to try a little deeper and see if we can get even close to 47:smiley:.
