My daughter and I went out to do some spearfishing and ended up doing pretty well. The visibility was not very good but once we got down to the fish it cleared up a little bit. We were practically swimming in jellyfish but managed to tough through it and get about 22 spades and 1 sheepshead. We also got two anchors, 23 feet of chain, and a nice pair of pliars. The weather was great and waves were not too big.
Were all fish speared or did you use those 6 rods/reels?
Nice haul!

The fish weren’t biting and the spades would not come to the surface. Glad we had a back-up plan!!! They were all hanging out in one area under the wreck, out of the current, where the vis was better. speared them on my first dive and collected anchors and stuff on the second.
By the way, nice catch Joe!!

Nice work. Really good job on the spades and loose gear.
So much water, So little time
Hey Under Contract, Did you find the fish where we talked about? I was on the bug catcher…
Absolutely!! I think the vis started to improve as the tide started going slack.

Is that Stretch getting ready to go over the side of the blue boat?

he and duckcommander thought about it until they heard of the horridly crappO viz…bagged it and just helped the tank divers out with anything needed.
owell, maby next time.
I do want to thank under contract for letting us dive with them…great bunch on that boat. Your daughter is fearless bo. Very neat to watch ya’ll two go down and ruffle some fish scales.
Hope to see ya’ll out there and/or dive with ya’ll again sometime.

Anytime you want to go, just let me know. I will be losing my dive partner (daughter) tomarrow. She is headed back to college at Clemson. She is a junior with a biology major. She has always wanted to be a Marine Biologist ever since she was a little tike. Wonder where she got that from.
Seriously, I will be looking for dive partners.

Under, Not speaking for the Bug Catcher but we are always looking for divers…You got 2 Clemson alum (06/07) on Bugs’ boat so it should be a good deal all the way around.
check ur email U.C.
Met BC a while back at the ramp one day and chatted a second…very nice guy. seems to do very well with the fish.

Under Contract, let me know if you ever need another diver or two or if you want to go with us. I’m always looking for other divers to go out. I have a boat the same size and have been diving 4KI quite a bit this year. We like to spear and do equipment recovery as well. I haven’t dove the 437’ ship hull yet but I’ve dove all the barges and some of the tugs.
Strech, cdt and whoever, lets get together a dive in the near future. If we get out and park over a good dive, it could be a good great day on the water. Free dive, air dive, have a floating dive fest!! We just need to agree on the location. I can carry 4. Who’s in?
