Took the wife, son, and his girlfriend out to 4KI today for some fun.
The girls were bummed that they couldn’t keep any of the BSB. Caught plenty of them 13+ inches and several over 14". They didn’t fish long and still probably caught 35 - 40 keepers.
We donned the dive gear and dropped down to shoot a couple of sheeps.
The bottom is freaking covered up with BSB, they are almost like no-seeeums.
Water was pretty cool so we didn’t stay long.
Pictures will follow whenever we get home.
Hull walls are really stable, for the most part the walls are about 6’ high. The inner workings of the ship are a large part of what’s left. The deck is pretty much gone. I had a Fuji Underwater Quicksnap but everytime I went to get it out my son would shoot another fish and I would have go get the fish. My main job was to secure the fish and get it ready to go to the boat. We didn’t want to stay down too long with the temps hovering in the mid 50’s.
When the water warms a little we will hit it again and take some underwater pics.
