The fourth annual Georgetown Meat Fish Slam benefiting Kids Chance of South Carolina is THIS WEEKEND at the Georgetown Landing Marina. This is a great tournament for a great cause and one of the biggest little tournaments around.
Charleston Anglers: You can register online, or at Atlantic Game and Tackle in Mount Pleasant. Boats can fish out of Charleston and weigh in at GLM. Free dockage for the weekend, BBQ and refreshments Friday and Saturday, and live entertainment, silent auction, and prizes on Saturday evening.
If you’re going offshore this weekend ante up for a great cause and see if your crew has what it takes to walk away with the Big Dog. Please let us know if you have any questions or would like to sponsor the tournament, a team, or a scholarship recipient!

It’s that time of year that the fish start biting, and it’s also that time of year for the Meatfish Slam held at Georgetown Landing Marina. There are lots of fish being caught including wahoo, dolphin, blackfin tuna, and even some yellowfin! This weekend is the 4th Annual Georgetown Meatfish Slam and we are expecting a good turn out. The weather is cooperating and fishing should be great. If you are planning to fish this weekend, you ought to seriously consider fishing the tournament. Its a pretty level field with the season just starting out and you have a great chance to WIN some money as well. Don’t forget about the festivities on Friday and Saturday nights as well because I’m sure they will be as entertaining as always. There is a silent auction benefiting the charity on Saturday night so come on out and bid on some awesome items and there’s a raffle for a sweet Taurus Judge pistol with tickets available at the ships store of GLM. This weekend’s tournament is forming into one of the best yet! Boats are registering left and right and it looks like we will have 18-20 boats fishing. If you haven’t entered yet, be sure to get your registration in to Georgetown Landing Marina by 6:30 p.m. tomorrow!
