Went out early on the 4th with a buddy to the Wando. Hit the incoming tide around 7 am. Started the day off with seeing a tailing red at low tide against an oyster bed. Cast out with a live mullet on a Carolina rig. Wham! 22 inches. Same spot again then another, and another, and another. Last bull was a 28 inch hog that pulled up my anchor and took me for a nice ride up the river. All in all 7 reds total with 4 in the upper slot and another 3 over the slot. Spent the rest of the day chasing reds through the high tide with no luck. By noon everyone must have slept off hangovers and decided to get in their boats and skiis for play time. Decided it was time to call it a day. Overnighted a cleaned red to the parents back in Texas. They loved it! Over all a great day on the water and a great way to celebrate the 4th! Cheers!
