We left landing at 4am and headed south with the fleet, 15 miles before the 226 my T-top post snaps at the base, was a slow ride from that point on. We watched everybody pass us(lol) With some rope we managed to secure it. We then lost an oil pump, nothing like the first trip of the year to work kinks out 60 miles offshore! We picked at em all day catching most inshore of the 226 water temp between 73 and 74 deg. fish liked lines way back, lost several fish because someone was having a bad gaff day. Ended with 9 in the box. Want to say thanks to the crew for bearing the sloppy ride home, can’t wait til next time.
