Fished with my buddy Jack on the Blue Chip. It was a little bumpier today than we thought it would be. We pushed on anyway. Headed south. Water was 70 degrees give or take at the ledge so we pushed out… 200…300… 400… Finally we started seeing alot of bait around 700 feet, then we saw an unknown fish bust and decided to put in lines and see what was up. It didn’t take long to find a scattered weedline… soon after that one of the riggers went down. 25lb cow… we picked at dolphin there for a bit then moved on… found the mother of all weedlines in about 780 ft… huge weed mats, well organized… and covered in dolphin… Ended the day with 16 dolphin… payed for them on the ride home…
Nice day even with the weather.

I agree about the weed. It has been a while since I have seen a well organized weedline…

How far south were ya on the weed line? Last year we had a large weed line that started off straight offshore 480’ and ran to the south forever.
Local Boy, Just having fun.
we ran straight out off of the Edisto banks. It looked like it stretched a good ways, but we just moved back and forth over the same mile or so of it. Our GPS track looked like we knew exactly where the were… we ran out and back in on almost the exact same track… just got lucky and ran right to the fish…
