After the crazy thunderstorm early wednesday morning the crew was little slow getting together and checking the weather. We thought everything looked fine but the jumbled up and very conflicting swell and strong NW winds made it quite unpleasant until the sun came out later in the day. Breathlessight (kevin) was diving with me and it was not easy with the current and 3-4ft seas stacked up. We made several dives with no luck and decided to rest for a bit. We got lucky with the fish coming to us as they were migrating north. I hoped in the water on one and got a good shot but his smaller friend disappeared before kevin had time to meet him. 1 hour later and i was drifting behind the boat and 4 cobias came up and i got the biggest one. We checked some other spots on the way in but no sign of more fish. The day ended up working out but it started out pretty rough. The fish weighed 42 and 46 lbs on the boga grip.

Sweet Charles. When you gonna quit shooting those catfish and head out deep?

If it got any better I couldn’t stand it.
Man… Those JL speakers on your boat must sound sweet!!!
JK.
Serously. Good work on those cobia. Pulling one (or more) in as a free-diver is strong work. You guys are killing my SCUBA ego, with your good results!

PS: If a fly lost it’s wings, would it be called a walk?
Skeeter D, they are actually JBLs , got them in a package deal online…they are okay- marine speakers and stereos never last 2 long so JL Audio too much money
Bug Catcher i wanna go if weather permits…it has been changing every day so hard to plan ahead 2 much at the moment
