Fished our new to us Blackfin 25 combi for the first time-, last trip was cut short with engine trouble.
Managed a few dolphin, lost a few, released a few, lost the downrigger ball and caught a sailfish- great to catch a billfish on the boats first trip.
The ocean was ugly when we quit but the Blackfin did very well- we ran in at a pretty steady 20 without beating anything up too bad.
Most boats reported slow fishing but a few out deep did well on a big weedline.

I used to fish a lot of Gulf Stream trips in my friend’s Blackfin 25. That was a heck of a good riding boat
Caught my first wahoo in that boat, 72 pounds. Sold it at the seafood co-op for $4 a pound!

Those blackfins are sweet boats. Congrats on a successful first trip. How deep was most of the action?
Way to go Mark. I’m glad the boat ran well.
Wow- a greydog sighting!

Thats a good looking boat…might be wrong, but I think I saw you at the gas station in Hollywood. Congrats on a successful day!!
