Fished all over the inlets of the intercoastal today and pulled in a nice 6in blue crab. Other than that didn’t even get a hint that fish were there (Except for the newborn baby dolphins swimming all over shem creek!). Plenty of bait fish running and birds diving all around me. Fished oyster beds, drop offs, smack dab in the middle of the creek, under docks. Used mud minnows on a popping cork, gulp shrimp on a jig head and a top water plug. Don’t know what I was doing wrong!!
Hope others had a more productive day than I did.
I should mention I fished the rising tide. I haven’t had much luck with the rising in a long time.

I feel your pain, I have had oh so many days like that. Despite days like that, I have never felt like the day was wasted.
I hear that! Beats any day that involves studying/working!

Don’t feel alone. My daughter and I fished the creeks around docks, creek mouths, oyster rakes on the incoming last Saturday morning. Zero results fishing places I always catch fish. Ran out to the jetties and saw the whiting fleet stacked up in the channel and decided to try to catch a few for supper. Only caught one. I didn’t see anyone else catching more than 1 or 2. Moved over to the rocks both inside and out and only managed a couple of small BSB’s. I figure the big moon and tides we had last weekend along with the N.E. wind Saturday just shut them down. Also, it was just way too comfortable for the fishing to be good. No Gnats and not hot. Anyway, still better than working. Here’s to better trip next time.

We had the same results same time frame, my better half caught & released one BSB.

quote:No i'm not Ohio, I'm inactive for right now. They are sending me to school for a few years so I get to fish a little more often! 3 more years and I'll be back to active.
