Fished Blue Heaven with a good group. We had 3 10yr old boys on the boat that fought almost every fish, they did great. Everyone had a blast! Ended up with 18 phins in the box (some pretty nice ones too), a few slingers released, 2 cut offs (one of which almost spooled a 50), and a few let go due to various malfunctions (one of which at boat side that was pushing the 45lb range). Could have had around 30 if all had gone perfectly, but when does that happen. All fish came from a small area off shore and north of 380, 78 degree water. Can’t wait to get back out there!
Good job! Great hearing all the youth getting out there!!

Not sure if we did them a favor or not…They are now hooked on one of the most expensive hobbies know to man!..Fun one though! I was in the cockpit the whole time so Im not 100% on the depth but I would figure around 550’ish.
Sounds like you went the right way…we went to the gt hole sat and the bite was slow. Warmest water that we found was 73.4 had a decent weedline on the ledge but very little action. We were wishing at that point we had gone to the 380 looking for warmer water!
