5-16 smorgasborg (some photos)

Decided to get the band back together for Sunday offshore and was joined by Georgetown’s own Mr. Rogers along with fishing engineers Swampangel and Shawn. Started short of the hole with an early morning spit out and pep talk of sorts. Pretty slow morning with 3 phins and a released 24 inch yellowfin. It picked up midday with a wahoo, blackfin and several 20lb bulls. The bling was set into motion when the fishing engineers put out the trolling kite into a stiff south afternoon wind. Went 2 for 3 on blackfins (26lb and 30lb) off of the kite in a matter of an 1.5 hours with most time spent reeling sushi. It was an unreal surface bite off that kite with artie the flyfish popping up and down into the air; not to mention dolphins and a sail still coming into the conventional spread all the while but the tuna wanted the kite. Had to leave them biting and head to the hill at 4pm with a meat smorgasbord. 3 blackfin; 1 yellowfin release; 1 wahoo; 10 phins (1 tagged); 2 bonitos; 1 donkey; 1 raised sail and 3 spit outs.

wish we could have come tight on a few others. enjoyed the day. Let me know when you want to hit the fuel dock.

Not to mention Mr. Georgetown losing that bull near the boat due to a tackle failure on your brothers rod. I thought the day maker bonitos and donkeys would have gotten the big shout out.

Note: the boat owner caught the biggest tuna (still think that boga needs calibration). That tuna looked to be 10# bigger on the gaff.

Nice mixed bag…and meatfish slam! Good job guys!

Congrats Dog House crew sorry i could not make it next time on the Pursuit Captain!!!
