Fished outside the Gap and in Crystal Lake. Caught 24 Striper and 3 gar. The morning outside the gap was all gar and all aggravating. Found a bunch of grouped up fish. Really wish I knew how to work a jig. Couldn’t get them to bite on nothing but herring. Got bait from JC’s, I’ve been burned once to many times, never again. They have the smallest most overpriced bait on the planet. I’ll stick to catching my own and Neds in the summer and David in the winter.
ok… I will hurt some feelings and have to agree with you… JC’s is a last resort for everyone I know. Nobody that I have seen working there has a darn clue about how to handle bait!! Ned and David currently get all of my herring business when I’m on Murray.

Yea I had a good couple days at work. Going back to work tomorrow before making the 5 hour tour to pick up my camper from Edisto and put it on our new lake lot to have a weekend of camping at home. Going out Friday night (I hope) to see if there are any Herring that’ll come to my light in Hollow creek so I can hopefully stock my dads tank. I love Ned’s bait just not practical to go there when I’m fishing out of Gilbert.
I’ve never had issues with kevin, Ned or David. JC’s was convenient and we were already short on time. I guess that meant short on size of bait too. Oh well, he won’t get my herring business anymore. David, Ned, Richard, somebody needs to sell that man better bait!
