One of those days you dream about all winter. Calm ocean, great crew and lots of nice fish. Intended to head out deep based on SST but came across some weed mats in 200ft. Caught a stud bull right as we got lines all out. Worked around for a bit and then headed off. Nothing until we came across scattered weeds in 500ft. Then it was steady all day. Fortunate to have an experienced crew, which is not the norm for us, as they worked nonstop clearing weeds the whole day. Dredge and downrigger came in for the day and we were lucky to have four lines fishing at any time. Most fish caught on the larger weed mats or short weed lines that formed. No real organized weed lines where we were. Caught a few nice fish pitching squid to fish following a hooked fish in. Wind and seas picked up right as we started heading in.

This is not a charter boat. Just recreational fishermen, family and friends.
