Started the morning with a net full of menhaden used them as long as i could keep them alive then switched to muds. Ended the day with 5 keeper trout 2 flounder 3 slot reds and one 24incher that was tagged all fish caught on menhaden and mud minnows under poppin cork.
That’s a nice haul. That tag number looked fimiliar. I checked my tagging records and I had the tags 7726 to 7750. Close, but not mine. I would have been really surprised if a red moved from the Stono to there.

let us in the the history on this fish, i always i have never caught a tagged fish, but have shot 2 banded ducks. <a Wood Duck that i lost the band of and a Mottled Duck i shot in the combahee River that was banded in Wiggins, about 30 miles away the previous year>. i always find it iterresting! did you make a note to self when, where, how, and the stats on the fish when you tagged it?

I replied to his PM. The fish was tagged 12/19 in the Bushy Park area and grew an inch. It traveled several miles to get to beresford where it was recaptured.
