Left the dock around 8:30 am, headed out to 226 hole which was packed, so put lines in and trolled to deeper waters. Nothing all day long - changed baits, lures, you name it. Dad even changed out my wahoo lurer saying that we hadn’t caught anything all day so we were not going to be trolling wire. At least he let me put my new wahoo teaser to the line…
Found a sweet temp break around 4:15 ish, and bamn, mega wahoo. Long story short, megawahoo was not boated, and he took lure with him. Good news I got my teaser back. The clip that connected teaser to lurer was missing… either it got smashed by big teeth or was faulty.
A couple minutes later - hooked up to a dolphin and first fish in boat.
And another… I wanted to learn how to gaff, but due to the lack of fish on boat I was told to do the old flip fish into boat & grab him trick (no gaffing practice for me until boat loaded with fish I suppose).
We saw a blue marlin greyhounding which was really sweet. Then - fish on!!!
It was late, so we were gonna clean up and head home. While cleaning up - I was allowed to put my new wahoo lurer out and do some high speed trolling. I was ready for the 92 lb’er to strike…
Im sure i am out of the know here, but, why is one motor out of the water?

One motor is out of the water to make it harder to steer. Yes, we are the sportsmen type
