Started on 450 in 1800 ft. Thought we would bank on the hard edge and pass the old stale eddy. Within 2 minutes hooked up on a white marlin and entertained its action for 5 minutes before it released its self. Several hours later headed toward a free jumper and hooked it up within 15 minutes of its acrobatic free jumping. Nothing like a teaser bite. Hour later, one nice 25 class mahi…thank god for beer and music. Sounds like you folks up in the 380 did our chores of finding fish and congrats to you. Next week will hopefully produce. Side note for you all debating good year or not; I’ve been fishing here for 28 years, this and last 5 years have been bad. Was time when any May Day was on fire for everyone. Just keep going as the fish are there just not everywhere. Got to go to catch them. Don’t be cocky and don’t get discouraged.
