5-21 Trolling

Fished on Friday. Took a 145’ heading to the 400’s, put lines in just past the ledge. Picked a up a few dolphins here and there, but very slow. Heard from some buddies out deep that nothing was going on around there, so stayed in 200’-300’ ft. range. Action was slow, but picked at them. Ended up with about a dozen dolphin.

I made a cedar plug daisy chain which was getting some good hits, but was running it off my short rigger and kept forgetting it wasn’t a ballyhoo rig. I dropped it back at least twice to miss some strikes…will have to remember not to feed the wood…

Ready to get out again.

That last pic is badass. What kind of bote is that?

Thanks. It’s a restored classic SeaCraft–1978 Potter built hull.

I agree that last shot is amazing. In my short time doing this, I’ve not seen a “blue” dolphin like that yet. Very cool. Congrats on a great day.
