Fished straight out. Saw one sail free jumping and one triple phin knock down around 250’ but then slow. Ran out to a rip past 380 hole and picked at some small phins. About 10 phins in all keeping one gaffer and 4 slingers. Expensive trip got more expensive when the cannon swivel mount cracked and down to the deep went downrigger, dredge and TLD 30. Poooof and it was gone. Thankfully no one was attached.

ouch…I can only hope artie was attached to the rod. Looks like I need to return your brothers downrigger to you instead.

I am gonna write the good people at Cannon and see if they will just send me a new one without the swivel mount. Only was trolling 5-6 knots and not even a double dredge. You can see where the swivel mount material just came apart. The ocean’s a dangerous place when sh__ happens.
