5/25 Limehouse

Got out right at 6 and hit a spot I’ve been noticing a lot reds lately. Had about 20 minutes before I had to move so I didn’t get stuck. Hooked up with a very fat 31 inch red right off the back. Moved to two other locations where reds were pushing hard in shallow water to snag mullet on the move. Missed 3 reds on another pole that I should’ve changed out the dull hook after the first miss. Ah well. Short trip and even able to catch plenty of mullet for the next trip.

Water temp was 77.5. Cut mullet on the bottom. mid-out going.

Got back to ramp at 9:25 and had to wait until 9:55 until I could battle my way through the first wave of schmucks who have no common sense (not preparing boat in the ready area, having conversations, 5 people on a boat all waiting for the driver to park and hop on, on dumb@$$ who put a huge POS in the water and smacked other boats because he didn’t know what he was doing, people backing down their boats when I had already pulled up to snag my truck, etc etc… oooh the boat ramps on holidays)

That is why I have no desire to launch my boat on Memorial weekend. I prefer to leave it to the rookies who just bought their first boat at the boat show and decided this was the perfect time for their maiden voyage.

I like to go park my vehicle without a trailer in the trailer parking and then watch people walk from a mile down the road. haha jk, but there is some good people watching at the boat ramps during holidays! Especially if a good storm is coming. People have no sense.
