5-3-15 Smooth seas Screaming reels

Got the call on Wednesday and was invited to fish on ‘‘Reel Estate’’ with a partner of mine. Talked about all week trying to fish Sunday. With the weather back and forth and Calling for NE winds we were just waiting it out. Decided to go Friday when things turned for the best and it sure did! Fished 350 line between 250-380 feet most action was in 330 feet 76 to 77 degrees temp break scattered weeds. Before all lines were in water picked up the first mahi. Finally got the whole spread out and all rods go off (6) and it was on. Had 2 newbys on the boat ‘‘one was trying to BASS fish lol’’ so we managed to land 4 of them leaving one in the water until we through out the Dancin dolphin to pitch to the curious mahi feeding with them. For every 5 peanuts we would hook a decent mahi. Decided to leave that alone due to bait count and plenty time left. Regrouped and countinued to fish picking up more dolphin through out the day and missing 6 at the boat! All and all great day and great memories with friends! Boated 32 mahi lost 6 and kept 16 (check out the last pick that dolphin got off after it attacked our dredge with a Dancin Dolphin on it on at the back of the boat lol)

Hopefully that’s true Tom. Thx. Buddy! If anybody needs any baits rigged or has a busy schedule like I do and can’t make time. Tom that fishes Offshore Office knows his stuff and can have it ready to just clip and fish. Give him a shout!

That’s what you call catching not fishing! When you have to clear the deck by throwing them forward:smiley:

Nice work. What happened to your Van Staal???

Lets just say the the drag knob fell in the water not the whole spool!
