had a slow start due to visibility issues ;had to run out with the spreader lights on. Apparently I found a low hanging tree limb on the way to the ramp that took out the white anchor light. Once the sun peaked we made pretty good time to E. banks. About 20 min. after the spread was deployed we got a double hook up w\dolphin and were still fighting the second when some guys in a 19’cc with no t-top comes off plane and starts putting lines out within 50-60’ of us; tried waving them off only to have them wave back , they did finally get the message and moved off. Found a decent weed line about 1 mile long out in 200’ or so and had it to ourselves for about an hour before company showed up to play ring around the posey. Started feeling a bit closterphobic @ the weed line and moved off towards and some other spots on the way to 226. overall it was kind of a slow day getting 1-2 dolphin at the time every hour. Lost what would have probably been the day maker when one of my anglers took the rod out of the rocket launcher and was taken off his feet and almost over the transome; at least he held on to the rod. final tally 8 dolphin from 15-25#, 1 cuda, too many knockdowns and short strikes to count.

Sometimes I wish there would be a mandatory DL/CL test for captaining the offshore vessel. There are way too many boats are not seem to familiar with an offshore etiquette.
