Left the cut a 4am, only to stop by Fort Sumter and loose all electronics. Talk about scary, it felt like being on the interstate with all the boat traffic, I’m glad no one hit us. Managed to get depth finder and VHF back up and running. Used the handheld gps to get out there. This was a good reminder that when going offshore it is best to have 2 of everything and maybe 3. Stopped at the banks and had multiple hits on pink/white. Boated several dolphin and lost more due to hooks being spit. Bite shut off at noon and we could never put anything else in the box.

no doubt, I almost ran over you guys, i am glad to hear that you were able to get out and back safe. I am also glad that i was looking your way when the light house came around. Your boat was really dark w/0 lights. I was a bit scared for you guys that someone was going to run into you. There was a dim light in the cockpit that i picked up on just as we past you.
better luck next trip, tight lines…
if they aint biten then that means they want a spear!

OVER BUDGET
I was wondering what was going on with yall as we rolled by…
i’m not sure what funnier
the fact that you guys didn’t stop to check if he’s ok
OR
the fact you guys are willing to tell him you saw him and did stop to check
by the way CT,
did anybody stop to see if you were ok?
No one stopped, but I assume because we were still in the harbor it wasn’t really an emergency. keywest225, our stern light was working and then it went out and just as I noticed it I saw y’all approaching, glad you were being a attentive captain and spotted us. We were trying to work our way over to get out of the way, it was just hard to see anything.
no one stopped because it just looked like they were pulling over to call some one or relieve themselves, when we went by them their bow lights were working just not the stern light.

Glad you managed to fix the issue, and save the trip. I don’t even want to imagine how pst I would be, if had to come back.
